CADD Group(UAE) is a non profit group composes of experienced Engineers, Architects and CADD Technicians. The group conduct CADD (Basic and Advanced) training programs under the auspices of Philippine Embassy, Office of the Labour Attache and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration at the OLA/OWWA Hall, Dubai every Saturday and Wednesday from 7 – 9 PM.

The main objective of the group is to give OFW’s a chance to compete in the world of Information Technology using the latest methods of drawing techniques and computer programs. Aside from the the learning process, trainees would have an opportunity to step for a better career advancement as well.

CADD is the acronym that stands for Computer Aided Design and Drafting, a powerful tool being used by Engineers and Architects in generation of drawings, sketches and even 3-Dimensional models. Familiarity of the usage of this tool needs to have a basic knowledge in both manual drafting and computer operational systems. The CADD is being runned by a certain software in the world, autoCAD by Autodesk and the Microstation by Bentley.

Basic CADD training starts with the use of most common commands and familiarity, while Advanced CADD lessons covers drawing 3-Dimensional Modelling and Rendering.

The CFC Singles for Christ is for single men and women with ages from 21 to the 40's. Truly, most single professional men and women have been burdened in climbing the ladder to success. Fortunately, thousand of these singles have responded to God's call and acknowledged that only He can lessen the burden and make them live joyful and peaceful lives. They may be in the world, but they are not of the world. One exciting and interesting highlight about SFC's existence is its smooth integration to CFC, not only in terms of its structure, but also because a good number of its members have found their lifetime partners in SFC, while those who came in ahead invited their "loves" to join as well, thereby forging a stronger relationship focused on the Lord.

The Filipino Computer Club in Dubai is planning to launch JavaScript workshops and Flash Animation (Basic) course set tentatively on 10th of October 2002.

Being a pilot project, FCC-D is offering it to their members who have completed the Basic HTML lessons as one of their benefits, however, seats are limited to only 20 participants per class due to limited resources available. Non-members who have completed the Basic HTML who wished to participate will have to apply for FCC membership first before they can avail of these services.

Flash, developed by Macromedia, is a popular authoring software used to create vector graphics-based animation programs with full-screen navigation interfaces, graphic illustrations, and simple interactivity in an anti-aliased, resizable file format that is small enough to stream across a normal modem connection. Flash files, unlike animated but rasterized GIF and JPEG, are compact, efficient, and designed for optimized delivery and can be embedded into a web page.

Filipino Dance Club in Dubai has made it to the web finally. They launched their site http://www.fdcdubai.com.

The Club has dance intercession for Club’s members and its graduates every Friday at 16.30 to 18.00 hours. Dance clinic on basic ballroom dancing of Cha-Cha, Tango, Boogie and Swing will be conducted afterwards from 18.00 to 20.00 hours the same day.

The group was formed in May 2005 and we currently have 22 active members and 46 listed affiliate golfers. We regularly held fund raising tournaments that enables us to help our less fortunate domestic helper kababayans to be repatriated back home to the Philippines. We believe that through additional media exposure will bring us more interested Pinoys to join the group in its worthy cause.
